Founded by film students in December 2023, Braincells Productions is committed to creating meaningful content and establishing its name. Its founders, Zain Abrouch and Ocean Gotvald, were born and raised in Atlanta, Ga and the surrounding metro area. They study film production at Georgia Gwinnett College (Abrouch) and Georgia State University (Gotvald). Abrouch is an actor, director, and writer who is credited with the Georgia Student Film Showcase’s Best College Drama award with his 2025 short Yandam. Gotvald is a talented writer and director who created the 2024 short film Electric Sleep.
